As a precautionary measure against a possible serious diphtheria epidemic at a time when the resistance of the community is low, a scheme for the immunisation of children in the Waikato will bo carried out next month in collaboration with medical practitioners. It is intended to offer the opportunity of immunity from the infection to every child of school age and k to any younger boys and girls whose parents care to approve of the mild vaccination that is necessarily performed.
