Changeable, But Improving i’er Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. A westerly depression has been passjng eastwards but a slight secondary is at present crossing the Dominion,, while an anti-eyclone of considerable intensity is approaching across the Tas ' man ben. Winds: South-weste£lj,pyer the southern half of the South Island; elsewhere westerly predominating at first but southerlies soon becoming general, force moderate to strong and increasing especially along the cast coast and in the Cook btrait area. beas (New Zealand water#): Bough on the west coast of the North Island mad in Foveaux btrait, elsewhere slight to moderate but rising south of Castlepoint. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to strong southerly winds with rather rough sc&s bat wind and sea gradually decreasing. Weather: Cool and changeable with showers at times in most districts; improving soon, however, on the west coast of the South Island and gradually elsewhere.
