Germany’s Mechanised Army
POWERFUL NEW TANK United Press Association—By Ehectrle Telegraph.—Copyright LONDON, March 7. The Sunday Times says that Germany is forming two new tank regiments by which she is possibly planning to create a fourth mechanised division. She already has six tank regiments, comprising 250 tanks each, two of which are with a reconnaisance group of armoured cars. A mechanised cavalry ! regiment and an artillery regiment 'form a mechanised division able to advance ten miles hourly as a whole, j while scouts move twenty mile? hourly. These three divisions possess high concentration fire and are the most outstanding features of the German army. Germany is also forming | additional artillery units, but there is [a delayed fulfilment, owing to shortage of officers.
