CLEAN WINDSHIELD
Windshield wipers are coming to be included in the standard equipment of the majority of cars. There are, however, still a great many cars not fitted with wipers whose owners are unaware of the virtue of a slice of apple, rubbed lightly over the outer surface of the glass, as a means of keeping the, windshield clear in wet weather. The apple juices deposited on the screen prevent the water from holding together in drops. Thus the rain is dis tributed over the glass in a uniformly thin film which is hardly noticeable on the windshield, no matter how heavily it may be ruining. As apples cun bo bought almost anywhere, the dodge ia one upon which one can fall back should the wipe* mechanism fail.
