An anti-cyclone covers the Dominion tot-day, its centre still being to the north, while a depression is located over the north-western portion of the Tasman Sea and is moving south-east-wards.

Winds: Southerly at first over tho northern half of the North Island but imrtherlies soon prevailing in most distorts. • A. change to southerlies is probable shortly, however, in the southern portions of the South Island, force strong at times in the Cook and i’oveaux Straits areas but otherwise mainly' light to moderate. Weather: Some scattered rains still probable in the western and southern portions of the South Island; otherwise fair to fine and warm at first but haze and cloud gradually increasing over the Dominion and unsettled conditions probable within 24 to 36 hours.
