Palmerston North Citizens Support Worthy Cause

Commercial travellers have never been lacking in giving support to deserving cases, particularly to anyone in distressed circumstances. Their activities for the next three months will be in the form of an art union to assist one of their commercial friends who has been incapacitated for the past IS months, and is in all likelihood of being so for many "months to come. Quife a number of travellers are actively engaged in’this cause, but there is still room for many more workers.' A meeting is called for Saturday next, December 12, at 10 a.m. in the Cosmopolitan hall for all commercial travellers. The art union has had tho consent of the honourable the Minister of Internal Affgirs, three valuable paintings having been presented by three wellknown Wellington artists who have willingly contributed to this worthy cause. These pictures will be displayed by Messrs. Goldfinch and Cousins, the Square, they having kindly consented to do so. Tickets also may be procured there at the price of sixpence. Citizens of Palmerston North by purchasing a ticket will in no small way assist in this y.e.rj£ deserving case.
