Dancers' Strenuous Life

MONTE CARLO RUSSIAN BALLET Some of the hardest-worked people in the theatrical profession are tho dancers of tho Monte Carlo Russian Ballet, which is now appearing in Australia, under the management of J. C. Williamson, Limited. They are rehearsing continuously throughout tho day, and performing at night. Every morning at 10 o’clock rehearsal commences, and this is kept up all day with an interval for lunch. The members of the ballet do not find it irksome. They enjoy their work, and even when tho master of the ballet, Leon Woizikowsky, the famous male dancer, has finished with them, they appear unwilling to leave, and linger on the stage, practising quietly by themselves. It is a strenuous life, but, apparently, a happy one,and thoroughly congenial to tho members of the ballet. '
