RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. All Athletic events run under the rules of the N.Z. Amateur Athletic Association. 2. All prizes for Athletic events are trophies. 3. In all Horse events, the Committee to decide the course; two baulks to disqualify. 4. All entries must bo submitted to the Secretary half-an-hour before each event. 5. Handicaps for events 10, 12, 14, 19 and 20 will be declared on the grounds, and competitors when nominating for these events, must send in to the Secretary results of last two performances. '

(5. The decision of the judges will be final in every competition. 7. All protests to be in the hands of the Secretary not later than one hour after the event in dispute. 8. All disputes to be settled by the General Committee and its decision to be absolutely final. 9. In all events, three competitors or no competition; live or no second prize.

'l’hc Committee reserves the right to delete or make alterations ou the programme, of altering tho time of starting, or refusing any entry, or abandoning tho sports if necessary, by weather or by other circumstances of which it shall bo the solo judge. 11. All prizes to be claimed immediately after sports, otherwise they will not be recognised. 12. Competitors must be in readiness when called, as the events must come oil in the order stated; any competitor misconducting or misbehaving will be excluded from the competition, and if ho or she should have successfully competed, the prize shall be forfeited. All competitors must leave the ring after each event.

Protests must be made in writing to the Secretary or the Judge, or Judiges, wit.hon fifteen minutes after the race or chop in dispute, together with a deposit of five per cent, of the amount of stake (minimum ss), which will bo forfeited if the protest is found to be frivolous or vexatious, 13.
