“Flying Farmer” Abandons Farming

AVIATION CAREER DECIDED ON Per Press Association. 1 CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Mr. Ernie Clark, the young Canterbury farmer who recently flew from England to Now Zealand, has decided to give up farming for aviation. In a statement to a reporter to-day Mr. Clark said: “I have just returned from Wellington where I saw tho Prime Minister and Controller of Civil Aviation. As I wish to give my undivided attention to aviation I shall probably be selling my farm at Waikari in the near future.”

Mr. Clark would say no more about his plans except to say that he thought he would be staying in New Zealand with his headquarters at Christchurch.
