Bowling in Feilding
SMITHERS CUP CONTEST On Saturday afternoon the annual inter-club match between the Fcilding and Oroua Bowling Clubs for the Smithers cup was played and terminated in the Feilding Club taking the trophy from the Oroua Club. Six rinks from each club were engaged in the contest, three playing at home and three away. Feilding were successful on both greens, winning in the aggregate by 124 points to 105. At the conclusion of the games Mr. C. B. Aitken, on behalf of the Oroua Club, tendered congratulations to the victors and handed the cup over to Mr. C. M. Sargisson, president of the Feilding Club, who suitably replied.
