HIGH W VTER AT MANAVVATU HEADS. DECEMBER, 1986.
An astounding feat of strength of an elderly, 11 stone man was witnessed at a city corner in Dunedin. A boy on a bicycle was knocked down by a heavy touring car and when the car pulled up in about its own length the boy and the bicycle were firmly wedged under it, between the front and rear wheels. Tho back of tho car was lifted up high enough off the ground by one man to get the boy qut under the running board. The man proved to be Mr. T. Walker, senr., ex-lightweight champion wrestler of New Zealand. It was an impromptu demonstration of strength, worthy of a professional weight lifter, <ays an exchange,
