PROTESTS AGAINST GERMANY’S ACTION.

United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. BERLIN, Deerember 2. England, France and Czechslovakia have lodged protests with Germany against unilateral denunciation of the river clauses of the Versailles Treaty.

A cable, message , from London on November 14th last stated that Herr Hitler had denounced the clauses in the Versailles Treaty regarding the internationalisation of the rivers Elbe, Oder, Niemeu and Danube. Thus he declared Germany free from every shackle imposed by the treaty. This action would presumably affect Czechoslovakian shipping to Hamburg by the Elbe, also international traffic on the Ehine, which will henceforth be subjected to any regulation Germany may impose. ;
