A meeting of the householders at Mangamutu decided that the usual Christmas tree party and dance would be held again this year. The ladies present formed themselves into a committee to buy the gifts and arrange for supper. Mr MoncrieiE is undertaking to secure and set up the Christmas tree. To-day the Pahiatua County Council is holding its usual monthly meeting. .. Mr Colin- Fredericksen, Eketahuna, was successful in passing the qualifying examination of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand, held at the Pharmacy College, Wellington, in November last.
