ANNIVERSARY SERVICES. The anniversary services of the Church of Christ, Palmerston North, were held last Sunday afternoon and evening. In the afternoon a splendid audienee listened to the school sing and were much interested by the items from the kindergarten, which were the main feature of tho session. The cradle roll was called by Mrs. F. Pullyn, the secretary, and cards given. The kindergarten prizes were also given out. At night the chapel was packed and a large congregation was delighted with the excellent singing of the senool *.uder the baton of Mr. V oice. An orchestra of nine greatly assisted the children in their songs. At both sessions Pastor Tyrrell-Baxter gave interesting illustrated talks to tiie children.

The anniversary coaeert was held last night in the Orange hall, and there was again a packed gathering. Every item was splendidly rendered and the entertainment was judged the best yet ior the school. Great credit was reflected upon Mrs. Nicholson, who was the personality behind the concert. Her hard work ior many years in training tho children for their concerts was recognised last night iu a tangible way when she was presented with a crystal perfume decanter and a bouquet. The work of Mrs. Freeman as pianist for the concert was also recognised, she being tho recipient of a beautiful gift and a bouquet. Mrs. Parker, church organist, and Mrs. Seaddeu, assistant-organist, were also thanked for services rendered. Great credit was reflected upon the work of Mr. Voice, who was thanked for services rendered in training the children in their songs.

Tho entertainment closed with the presentation of a pageant, the production of the minister, entitled “Building a New World.’’ It was enacted by members of the Bible Class.
