Pahiatua Weekly Stock Sale
Hhe New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report a fair yarding of sheep and dairy cattle at the Pahiatua weekly sale which were offered to a fair attendance of the public. The price of dairy stock appears to be on tho decline owing to the season getting late. Wo quote:—.Sheep: Twotooth wethers, off shears, 23s 3d. Dairy cows in profit, £3 12s Gd, £3 15s, £3 17s 6d, £4 7a 6d to £4 17s 6d; dairy heifers, close to profit, £4 17s 6d to £5 10s; later culvers, £3 10s to £4 ss.
Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report ou the weekly sale held on Tuesday, when a moderate yarding of cattle came forward and met with good competition. Cjuotations are: Cows in profit, £4 10s, £4 15s, £5; springing Jersey cows, £4 15s, £6; fat dairy cows, to £4 11s; store dairy cows, to £3 Is; Jersey heifers in profit, £3 2s Gd, £4 10s, £5.
