FP.ENCH FEIED STEAK. Mix together one dessertspoon each of Worcester, tomato and anchovy sauce to which add sugar, pepper and salt to taste, stir well and soak in this one lb. or more of steak for two hours, turning several times. Fry slowly in a little butter. When nearly cooked add about three tablespoons of water to the sauce mixture; pour all over the steak and when well heated through serve with fried onions and chip or mashed' potatoes.
