From Our Own Correspondent Anglers’ Re-union. Tho annual smoke concert, held by the Woodville Anglers’ Club on Tuesday evening, attracted a large attendance of fishermen including representatives from the Palmerston North, Dannevirke, Pending and Pahiatua Angling Clubs. The president of tho Woodville Club, Mr. S. Turnbull, presided over the meeting and extended a cordial welcome to tho visitors. A short toast list was gone through while contributed items, vocal and musical, as well as the usual "fishy" stories filled in tho evening in a pleasant manner. After the loyal toast, the visitors were toasted by Mr. F. Ebbett and this was responded to by Messrs. Morgan (Pahiatua), Walsh (Pannevirke), Alpe (Feilding) and Page (Palmerston North). The Acclimatisation Societies’ toast was proposed by Mr. S. Turnbull and replied to by Messrs. F. Stockwell (Feildlng district), W. Walsh (Hawke’s Bay) and Ward (Wellington). Tho Woodville Anglers' Club toast was entrusted to Mr. W. Walsh and responded to by Mr. F. Ebbett, while that of the entertainers was proposed by Mr. S. Turnbull and replied to by Mr. R. Bibby. During the evening vocal solos were rendered by Messrs. S. L. Fannin, K. Bibby and J. Charles, while the "Odds and Ends" orchestra played several pleasing items. Trophies won during the past season were presented and comprised the following: Opening day competition,. C. Maekie 1, I. Cullen 2, J. Wade 3; heaviest fish for the season, I. Cullen 1. The matter of the Stockwell Cup competition was well discussed, and it was finally de tided to suspend the present- rules governing the competition for this season,
and in its stead hold a field day, at which representatives from all clubs 'would bo present and a competition for the cup would bo held.
