By Air to Australia and New Zealand

SYDNEY, Sept. 12.
The Daily Telegraph's aviation correspondent says that tiho British Government. is understood to have offered to pay 50 per cent, of the total cost of the proposed air service to Australia and New Zealand, and that New Zealand and Australia are to be asked to contribute 25 per cent. each. Important discussions on the question of Pacific aerial communication aro pending between tlio British Air Ministry and the New Zealand Government. The Assistant Controller of Civil Aviation in Britain, Mr. F. G. L. Bertram, will proceed to New Zealand at tho New Zealand Government’s invitation nest week, and there he will make recommendations on tho conduct of civil aviation in New Zealand, and in addition will discuss air services.

After an all-night vigil Eiehman and Merrill, tho American aviators, again were obliged to postpono their return Atlantic flight because of the weather.
