Narrow Escape of Paris Opera House
NINE BRIGADES QUELL FLAMES,
United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Monday, 1.30 a.m. PARIS, Sept. 13. The famous Opera House had a narrow escape from destruction when tire broko out early this morning, apparently owing to a short circuit. Nine brigades succeeded in quelling tho outbreak after three hours. The stage was damaged by flames and water, but the auditorium ivas undamaged.
