Saturday' s Road Race
GANDERTON WINS IN GOOD STYLE. On Saturday afternoon the Counties’ Cash Cycling Club held a road race to Feilding and return and a good field of riders competed in the event. Tho conditions prevailing were a good test for the riders and found the.weak spots. The leaders at Bunuythorpe on the way homo w T ero Alexander, J, Luxmoore, Meehan and Pcdley, but they had the misfortune to be held up by a train over the crossing. The delay allowed tho scratch man, Gandcrton, to make up a lot of ground and he had a very comfortable victory. The results are as under:— A. Gandcrton (3min.), Oomin. 3Ssee. 1 J. Luxmoore (7min.), GSmin. 46see. 2 R. Alexander (lOmin.), 71min. 49see. 3 Also started: A. Meehan (7m.n.), P. Sheridan (linin.), E. Pedlcy (4min.), J. Seelen (3min.), M. Luxmoore (5 min.). Gandcrton also made the fastest time.
