A father who refused to give up his two children to tho Middlesex County Council saying that it was the dying wish ot their mother that he should “act the father” to them was fined £2O at Tottenham. He was Herbert Georgo Felstead, described as of West Green road, Tottenham, summoned for unlawfully assisting the children to leave an authorised children’s home. It was stated- that the children had been cared for under a compulsory adoption order by tho Council owing to the conditions of their home life.
