The new farm hand was ploughing and the farmer told him to keep his eyes fixed on some prominent object at a distance that would act as a guide. Returning later, the farmer was amazed to find that the plough had been travelling all over the field. “What on earth are you doing?" he roared. "I did just what you told me, sir. I worked straight for that cow in the next field, but tho darned thing wouldn’t stand still.”
