From Our Own Correspondent Table Tennis. The annual table tennis match between Alt. Stewart and Sanson was played last Wednesday evening. The games were keenly contested and thero were many close finishes. The Jit. Stewart players proved slightly superior and won by 21 matches to 15. At the conclusion or play members were entertained at supper. Mr. A. Matthews, on behalf of tho Alt. Stewart players expressed thanks and assured tho local players that they Had Improved greatly since the matches of last season. Mr. G. Williams replied. Before dispersing a pleasing function was performed by Mr. E. N. Butler who, on behalf of the club, presented to Mr. A. Matthews, captain of Mt. Stewart with a Blue Cup, and to the losers (Mr. G. Williams, captain), a D.G.A. trophy. Mr Matthews’ in acknowledging the tropnj with thanks advised the local members that a rose bowl would be presented by Mr. C. A representative team of 10 journeyed from Wanganui on Saturday to shoot a match with the combined Sandon-Bulls-Ohakea representatives at Sandon. The combined team secured an easy win with a margin of 19 points. Keith Lumsden of the Sandon Club put on a double possible, single possibles being recorded by the following: N. W. Amon (Bulls), P. The result of tho first range saw Wanganui leading by three points but in the second shoot they dropped five points while tho combined representatives increased their first score by 20. Another delegate who was present at the conference, Mrs. J. R. Bowater gave a talk on the various places the delegation had visited on their tour. The Bulls Institute forwarded an invitation for members to attend their birthday meeting. A demonstration on silk stocking rug making was given by Mrs. H. R. Masters.
