It was decided to close the Wednesday competition for the Offer Cup, Kowhai, Fcilding, being in an unassailable position. On the motion of Mr. Jewett it was decided to Tun a knock-out subsidiary competition and the following teams were nominated: Kowhai, St. Pat’s, Kia Toa, Pirates, United. Tho first round draw resulted: — Pirates v. United, Kia Toa, Kowhai, and St. Pats, byes. It was decided to start tho competition to-morrow (Wednesday.) Pirates play United at the Showground.at 1.30 p.m. • The Wednesday delegate to the union was instructed to use every endeavour to arrange a match with the Bangitikei Sub-union juniors at Marton on the first available Wednesday.

OLD BOYS JUNIORS LOSE FULL-BACK Fred Stuckey, full-back for the Palmerston North Old Boys junior fifteen, i 3 leaving this week for Eewa to commence farming operations. At the conclusion of Old Boys’ game on Saturday against Feilding Old Boys, when the Palmerston North club secured the junior championship with an unbeaten record, Mr. Murray Heisey, Old Boys’ junior coach, voiced the regret of ooth the club and his team-mates at losing Stuckey, both as a high-class player and as a very popular member of the chib. The best of good wishes for success in his farming operations were extended by all the players.
