FEILDING STOCK SALE

N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co. Ltd., report on tho Feilding sale. A smaller yarding of fat sheep of mixed quality showed a firming in values for prime lots. Plain and unfinished sorts were hardly up to last sale rates. Store sheep of all classes were in active demand with a general hardening in prices. Air F. Gorton topped the market for in lamb ewes, his 2-tooths making 43s 4d., and his mixed aged 39s Sd., these prices being tho highest realised so far for this season. The offering of dairy stock < was smaller than at last week’s sale. Cows and heifers close to profit and showing quality sold at fully last week’s rates, backward sorts being relatively low. Tho entry of run fat cattle was for the most part plain and unfinished. Values for prime lots were maintained. The N.Z. Loan and ilercantile Agency Co. Ltd., report a large yarding of hoggets, comprising mainly ewe hoggets, and fair entries in all other departments at the Feilding sale. For ewe hoggets showing size and quality an excellent demand was in evidence. For wether hoggets tho recent demand was fully maintained prices being on a par with late rates. Fat sheep were of better quality than usual au appreciation on late rates resulting.
