OUTPUT OF COWS INCREASED. Milk yields in many parts of tho country, as the result of the work of the milk recording societies, chow remarkable improvement. According to tho reports for 1935 the yield per cow has been increased over whole Counties, states a British agricultural journal. i The Suffolk M.R. Just over a thousand gallons was tho average yield of twelve full year cows in the Longrove herd of Mr A. M. Allen, Long Buekby, Northanls. For the County 76 herds averaged 698 gallons, which is twenty gallons above last year’s figure; there are 126 animals which yielded 1000 gallons or over.

In Glamorgan the cup for the best herd averago was won by the Friesian herd of Mr W. P. Howells, Cwm Barry Farm. Barry, with 12,7861 b average for eleven full year cows. A dairy Shorthorn belonging to Messrs E. G. Reader and Son, Rhoose had an annual averago of over 12,3761 b for three years.
