Tea Party for Miss Kearns
An enjoyablo tea party was held at tho Eosco tea-rooms on Saturday afternoon when MissKearns (Plunket nurse) was the guest of the council members of the Eegistered Nurses' Association (Manawatu branch). | The president, Miss McLagan, in a ! happy little speech, presented Miss Kearns with a posy on behalf of those present and wished her a pleasant sojourn in Dunedin. Miss Kearns suitably replied and thanked the council for their good wishes. Councillors-present wore: Miss McKenny (Pahiatua) and Miss Henderson (vice-presidents), Miss Kelly (secretary), Misses McGhic and Brown (Dannevirke), Mrs Dalgleish, Misses Flower, Allen, Halpin, Warn, Mrs Burnett; also Misses Spenslev, Lockwood, Poff, and Broadley (Auckland).
