Beforo Mr. J. W. Bramwell, J.P., at the Feilding Courthouse yesterday morning, a native named To Aorere Sutherland was remanded to June 24 on a chargo of theft of a horse. Owing to the representative Rugby fixtures to-day there will bo no senior games in Feilding this afternoon.

It was announced at tho inspirational rally held at tho Feilding Methodist Church on Thursday evening that the thanksgiving offerings now totalled £934.

At a meeting of the committee of the Feilding Golf Club ou Thursday evening the president (Mr. G. M. Moffitt) made feeling reference to the passing of the late Rev. Father Hegarty, a member of the committee. All very much regretted the death of Father Hegarty, said Mr. Moffitt, who went on to say that he would bo very much missed by members of tho club. Outside his parish duties the late Father Hegarty's heart was in the game of golf and he had proved of great help to the committee in promoting the very best interests of tho club. Members stood in silence in recording their deep sympathy with his relatives. The Colyton committee of the Feilding Plunkct Nurse Society will hold a street stall in Feilding on June 26. A 23-year-old labourer named Basil Tui Bishop, alias Frederick James Thompson, appeared before Air. J. L. Stout, S.AL, in tho Palmerston North Alagistratc’s Court yesterday charged with forging the name of W. H. Haynes to a cheque for £7. lie was remanded for a week on tho application of the police.
