A Gazette issued last night provides that the new Conciliation Commissioner, Mr M. J. Reardon, is assigned the following industrial districts: Northern, Taranaki, Wellington, and the South Lsland.
In recognition of his services to the industry and the work that ho had done while a member of the council, Mr N. P. Nielsen, of Tiakitahuna, was elected a life member of the New Zealand Pig Breeders’ Association at the annual meeting of that body yesterday.
At yesterday’s meeting of the New Zealand .Friesian Association, held at the Showgrounds, reference was made to the death' of Mr W. M. Tapp, secretary of the Jersey Breed Society, and a motion of condolence was cairied in silence. The sympathy of the association was also passed to the relatives of the following deceased members:—Messrs A. C. Barnes (Cheviot), A. Bryiner (llotokauri), and A. B. Knutson (Dalelicld).
