Jersey Show and Sale

ONLY HALF CATALOGUE SOLD UNDER THE HAMMER The seventh Winter National Jersey Show and sale took place at tho Showgrounds yesterday. Tho auctioneers were Messrs Wright, Stephenson ana Co., Ltd., and Messrs Abraham aad Williams, Ltd., and the catalogue consisted of 54 lots. The quality of the stock was good and after tho show the sale took place in the cattle pavilion. There was a fairly big bench of buyers, with Manawatu breeders predominating. While unreserved lots roused keen competition and realised market prices, vendors of reserved lots were unwilling to meet the market, and for this reason only about half the catalogue were disposed of under the hammer,' though a number of the reserved lots were sent up to a good price.
