Charming Wedding Of Wide Interest

THESSI&AN—FERGUSON. A very pretty wedding took place at tho Presbyterian Church, Toko, Stratford, when Marguerite Antoinette Louvain, fourth daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Ferguson, was married to Jack Hovy, eldest son of Mr and Mrs E. Thessman, of Stratford.

Tho Eov. Cathcrwood officiated and Mrs W. Wickham (sister of tho bride) played tho wedding music.

Tho bride entered tho church escorted by her father, wearing a beautiful white silk volvot model frock, .the bodice being trimmed at tho back with silver buttons. Her veil of whito tulle was held in place with a halo of orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet of whito roses, chrysanthemums and asparagus fern.

Misses Josephine and Evelyn Ferguson (sisters of the brido) were bridesmaids, and were dressed alike in frocks of apricot ring velvet fashioned on classical lines and trimmed with silver lame. • Tho little flower-girl, Lois Hinton (niece of the bride), woro an early Victorian frock of applo green velvet trimmed with silver lace, and sho carried a silver horse-shoe. Little Darcy Boyce (nephow of tho bridegroom) was page boy and he woro a pale green velvet suit with silver lace trimmings at the neck and sleeves. Mr Keith Powell, of Napior, was best man, while Mr Clarence Thessman carried out the duties of groomsman. After tho ceremony a reception was hold in the Coronation hall, Toko, where tho guests woro received by tho bride’s mother, Mrs A. Ferguson, who was wearing a brown celaneso ensemble with brown velour hat and carried a bouquet of autumn flowers. She wa3 assisted by. the bridegroom’s mother, Airs E. Thessman, who woro a bottle green cnseniblo with green hat to match, her bouquet being of autumn flowers.

Tho beautiful bouquets -wore the work of Airs A. Aloon, of Stratford. The wedding cako was a gift from the bridegroom’s sister, Airs R. Boyce, of Glen Oroua. Alusical honours were played by Airs AI. Chaney, and songs wero contributed by Air P. Aitken, while little Dulcie Boyce gave an exhibition of Highland dancing.

The bride and bridegroom left later by car on a tour of the North Island, tho bride travelling in a floral green frock, with coat, hat and shoes to match.

The bridegroom’s presents to the bridesmaids were signet rings, while the little flower-girl received a necklet of beads, and the page boy a platinum pencil.-

Mr nail Mrs J. Thessman’s future homo will be in Toko.
