Delightful Party at “Woodlands,” Colyton
A bright and merry evening was enjoyed by all who attended ou Tuesday at “Woodlands” when Mrs. W. W. Shortall was hostess and with the assistance of other Plunket Society committee workers in the district was able to make it tho huge success it proved to be. The beautiful home lends itself ideally for such functions; the spacious drawing room had been cleared for dancing, while tho billiard room was much in demand. The older guests were made comfortable in the breakfast room where roses and ivory chrysanthemums had been daintily arranged. Being a typically wintry night, many apologies were received by those not wishing to venture out, but once inside every comfort was enjoyed where big log fires burned brightly. Dancing was enjoyed to concertina music, kindly played by Mr. J. Crook, interspersed .with pianoforte extras by Mrs. W. W. Short-all and Miss V. Viles, while competition winners were Mrs. D. Skortall, Mrs. E. W. Buchanan, Miss W. Wales and Messrs B. Shortall, L. Thurston and It. W. Buchanan. "
