JOSEPH CHAMBERLAIN CENTENARY EFFORT United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. LONDON, June 15. The Dukes of Bedford, Buccleugh, Portland, Sutherland, and Westminster, and Lords Londonderry, Bledisloe and Hirst are associated in an appeal to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Mr. Joseph Chamberlain on July 8, when a meeting is to be held in the Albert Hall to inaugurate a memorial fund to enable a sustained campaign to be made throughout the country in support of an Imperial Ideals Mission and the need for increasing the Empire’s co-operation in trade, migration, defence, and foreign policy. They are seeking the co-operation of leaders of industry and agriculture at home and overseas, and also of all who realise that Imperial ..strength and unity are essential.
