Cold Southerlies Per Press Association. ' . WELLINGTON, Last Night. A. depression is moving eastwards off New Zealand and an anti-cyclone is approaching across the Tasman Sea. Winds: Moderate to strong southwesterly to southerly, of gale force on parts of the east coast, but gradually decreasing.

Seas (N.Z. waters): Rough about Foveaux strait and rather rough to rough north of Farewell Spit and south of East Cape; elsewhere moderate.

Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to strong southerly winds and rather rough seas, but wind and sea soon moderating. Weather; Cold and changeable, with passing showers in most districts, but conditions gradually improving from the westward.
