Mr Thomas Will Resign Seat
ON ADVICE OF FORMER LEADER.
United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Wednesday, 8.15 p.m. LONDON, Juno 10. Tho Daily Herald’s political correspondent says Mr J. H. Thomas visited tho House of Commons, but did not appear in the Chamber. He was closeted for fifteen minutes with Mr Ramsay MacDonald, who urged that the resignation of his seat was. the only proper course.
The Daily Mail’s political correspondent says, as a result of his talk with Mr MacDonad, Mr Thomas has decided to resign his seat. Mr Thomas will made a personal statement on Thursday and then announce his resignation. The executive of the Labour members in tho Commons has decided to question the Government regarding tho alleged leakage respecting the Newfoundland bonds as stated in the. American news magazine “Time.” It is understood the Government have already made inquiries and Mr Neville Chamberlain may make a statement during Thursday's debate.
