Masked Robbers Brutal Attack on Elderly Man
received Wednesday, midnight. SYDNEY, June 10. A masked and armed man entered a pawnbroker’s shop in Oxford street, Darlinghurst, to-day and when interrogated by the shopkeeper,.Charles Marks, aged 01, lie attacked Marks on the head with the butt of his revolver and finally escaped, pursued by a neigh“bour's dog. Marks was too ill to say ■•whether anything was stolen. Apparently robbery was the- motive. ’
