VISIT TO CITY Badminton players and those people w-ho have never seen the game arc ro minded that to-night at the A. and P. Association’s produce hall tho world’s, champion badminton player, Mr. J. F. Derliu, will bo seen in a scries of matches against the New Zealand champion, Mr. J. Neale, and will also play with and against ten leading players from the Manawatu district. Mr. Derliu has had a wonderful reception wherever he has played on Jiis tour through New Zealand. His technique and case of playing all shots have been a revelation to all badminton players, and his tour must result in improving the standard of play in New Zealand. Badminton, w-hen played well, is an interesting and exciting gamo to watch, and patrons can look forward to an exhilarating evening’s enjoyment. Special seating accommodation has been provided, and the programme of events is in the capable hands of tho secretaries of the two local clubs. Mr. Derliu, whilo in Palmerston North, will bo the guest of Mr. Houlihan, Imperial Hotel, and Air. Neale is staying with Mr. B. Davidson.
