Champion Bowlers at Play To-Day

DRAW FOR COMPETITION. The draw for the Manawatu Bowling Centre’s champion of champions rinks tournament was made yesterday morning. The sub-committee making the draw consisted of Messrs. J. A. Nash (chairman), A. Cookslcy, J. K. Paton. W. Hunter and A. F. Wimsett (secretary). Eleven entries have been received and the games arc to commence at 9 a.m. to-day on the Takaro greens. The draw is:— First rouud: Foxton v. Levin, Manawatu v. Takaro, Woodvillo v. Northern. The rinks having byes are those from Oroua, Palmerston North, Fcilding, Danuevirkc and Terrace End. Second round: (1) Dannevirke v. Manawatu or Takaro, (2) Feilding v. Foxton or Levin, (3) Oroua v. Terrace End, (4) Palmerston North v. Woodvillc or Northern. Third round: Winner of 1 v. winner of 2, winner of 3 v. winner of 4. It was decided that tho fiual of the Veterans’ Day tournament be piayea at 2 p.m. on the Manawatu green on Wednesday next. The game will be of 21 heads.
