First Census Return
AKAROA BOROUGH RECEIVES TEJ HONOUR Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Government Statistician received the first completed census return today, though the figures are preliminary only and subject to amendment. Maori population is included in tho figures given. The first return was Akaroa borough, 522, a decrease of 93 on the figures of the 1926 census, which were 615.
