Methodist Garden Party at Aorangi

Favoured with tine weather, a most successful garden party was held in the spacious grounds of Mr. J. Masters, of Aorangi, this week. A well furnished stall did brisk business while various croquet competitions provided an interesting diversion. A sumptuous afternoon tea was much enjoyed. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr. and Mrs. Masters for the use of their home and to Mr. Morgan (Mr. Masters’ father-in-law)' for the perfect condition of the grounds. Mr. Morgan and Mr. Masters made suitable reply. Competition results were as follow: Ladder croquet, Mr. O. Nairn 1; circle croquet, Mrs. Moore 1; nail driving, Miss Heusen 1 (ladies’), Mr. C. Hart 1 (men’s); stick croquet, Mrs. Taylor 1.
