A resolution was almost unanimously carried at the annual meeting of the Otago Rugby Union to-night favouring a return to the 2-3-2 scrum and the introduction of a rule providing lor an imaginary fine through the middle of the scruui. The meeting was just as unanimous in opposing the reintroduction of the amended kick-iuto-toueh rule. Southland Supports 2-3-2 Scrum Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Last Night. The Southland Rugby Union at its annual meeting to-night decided to press for a reversion of the two-tbree-two scrum formation throughout New Zealand. Mr A. J. Geddes, a former New Zealand selector, said there was no doubt about the two-three-two being the best serum, but he questioned whether it was advisable to introduce it generally owing to the coming visit of the South African and Australian teams. The proposal was carried by an overwhelming majority.
