Mr -E. S. Heckler announced at TuOs’day’s meeting of the Farmers’ Upion in Paliiatua, that the executive of the local branch had decided to keep the hogget soetiou of the show open again and that Mr <T. E. Hewitt had donated £2 2s for tho competition. The team to represent Mangatainoka Cricket Club against the Turf Club, Hastings, this week-end (to bo played at Hastings), will bo selected from the following:—Holtham, Taylor, Smith, Murch, Hunt, Gowlcr, Small, Miles, Matthews, Dungan, Gunn, Ginnane, O’Brien, Cavanagli and Mncpherson. The team will leave the brewery corner at 7 a.m.
