Woman Drowned • In Wanganui River

IDENTIFIED AS WIDOW Per Press Association. WANGANUI, Mar. 17. The body of a woman thought to be from 55 to 60 years of age, was taken from tho Wanganui River this morning. Sho was attired in a singlet, flannelette nightdress and overcoat, but wore no stockings or shoes. One hand held a torch and a heavy plain gold ring and a wedding ring was worn by the deceased. So far no one has been reported as missing to the police. The body bad only boon in the river a few hours. LATER. The body of the woman has been identified as that of Mrs Bertha Adamson, aged 68, widow, who resided with Mrs Ander, 6 Easton Road. She was last seen at 9.30 p.m. last night.
