WELLINGTON, Last Night.

The autumn meeting of the Wellington Racing Cluh concluded at Trentliam to-day in fine, overcast and cool weather. The attendance was good and the totalisator handled £29,439 10s, an increase of £698 10s on St. Patrick’s Day next year. The total for the three days was £95,278 10s The day’s racing was marred "by the bad fall of Roy Reed off Huntcap. The injured jockey was sent to hospital with serious head injuries and he died at 6.6 p.m.

Won by a length and a half; three. Bacchus Marsh was fourth. Time, 2.10. Chile and'Earl Colossus moved up to the leaders, Bacchus Marsh and Summerhill, entering tho straight, Chile staying on best for a decisive win. Custos went ahead in the middle stages but* Wild Chase drew up entering the straight and gained a slight advantage which ho held to the post. Spiral went to the front again in the straight and held off a strong late run by Argentic who came from the baok. Hunting Cat fell six furlongs from the post.
