Gala Day
To-day a monster gala is being held to raise funds for special purposes for the Palmerston North Technical School. Tho party will be held in the assembly hall and the grounds about the school. There will be produce, cake, work, cooked food, flower, book and other-stalls. Fun and entertainment will bo-provid-ed.for old and young. During tho afternoon tho Garrison Band will-bo-in attendance. During the -afternoon • and evening there will be a number of novelty items by the students. It is hoped that ex-students, parents and others interested in the welfare of tho school will give the gala all the support they can. The function will bo officially opened by Mr. J. A. Nash, chairman of tho Board of Governors. Miss Kelly has undertaken the responsibility of judging the baby show in the afternoon. Mr. Nash has been selected as adjudicator of the inter-club kazoo competition in the evening.
