AHAWA£**MEEUNG«-AND ELEC- *» MON -OF -OFFICERS The annual meeting of the Pahiatua Solf Club was held on Monday evening, when there was present a large it tendance of golfing enthusiasts. Mr P. A. Eoagey, who presided, said he was very pleased to seo such a large lathering, which in itself predicted a ;ood season. The summer, ho said, indicated a suitable winter season for tho game. An apology -was received from the president, Air Harold Smith, who was unable to attend. The annual report and balance-sheet showed that thcro was a credit balance in hand of £9O 18s sd, which amount was £2O in excess of the balance in hand at the end of the previous year. Expenditure for tho year amounted to £139 3s 4d. - Election of Officers The election of officers for the ensuing year was as follows:—President, Mr Harold Smith (re-elected); vicepresident, Mr F. P. Nelson (re-elect-ed); captain, Air J. 0. Sullivan (reelected); secretary, Air Hall Watson (re-elected); treasurer, Air L. 11. Tattle (subject to consent); general committee, AlcsSrs J. -Sheckleton, A. ; Donald, C. Wright, R. H. Taylor and O. AlacDonald. Air and Airs E. W. Eddie and family were elected honorary members of tho club. Honorariums equivalent to the annual subscription to tho club were granted tho club ’3 hon. secretary and tho hon. secretary of the ladies’ committee, in consideration of the work they were required to do for the club. The following Indies’ committee was elected by tho lady members of the club: —Captain, Aliss R. Shekleton; vice-captain, Aliss A. Boyd; secretary, Miss H. Ross; members of committee, Airs S. K. Siddells and Alisscs N. Irving, V. Rutherford and E. Taylor. At the conclusion of the meeting the chairman, in wishing members and intending members a happy and successful season, said that he hoped players would rally round the committee and help it as much as possible.
