Government Control of Broadcasting

MINISTER’S INDICATION Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Mar. 16. An indication that the Government is likely to exercise greater control over broadcasting was given by the Postmaster-General (Hon. F. Jones) to-day. The Minister said lie bad received many representations as to the best method of assisting B class stations but no definite decision had yet been made. The Government was considering whether the Radio Broadcasting -Board should continue to control broadcasting. It was safe to say, however, that the Government would have greater control, whether the board con tinued or not.
