Prescriptions dispensed during February totalled 190, the total for the same month of 3935 being 353.

Capital expenditure tentatively' contemplated by the Palmerston North Hospital Board for the y.car 1036-37, is estimated ut £6570. The amount is subject to variation as the individual items have yet to bo considered by the board when it is framing its estimates next month. The Manawatu and West Coast A. had P. Association yesterday decided to confer honorary life membership upon Mr J. A. Nash, in recognition of his excellent services to the association through many years. In proposing this move, Mr M. A. Conway said there had been many who had entertained political differences with Mr Nash, but none could deny his capacity and sincerity as a worker. Other speakers were enthusiastic in endorsing his remarks, and the motion was unanimous.
