From Our Own Correspondent. The Bunnythorpe Tennis Club visited Woodville on Saturday playing a match in tho B grade championship and was successful in defeating Woodville by 10 sets, 107 games, to 6 sets, 87 games. Following were the results, Bunnythorpe 'players being mentioned first:— Men’s singles: L. Little beat N. E. Robertson 9—o, H. Robson lost to N. Bartle 2—9, W. Sutherland beat R. Johnston 9—7, J. Gore lost to H. Hagor 7—9. I Ladies’ singles: Miss W. Robson beat ! Miss Gothard 7—3, Miss E. Robson beat Miss J. Dalgleish 7—o, Mrs O. Jackson lost to Mrs Hannay 2-—7, Miss L. Gore | beat Miss Arrow 7—o. Men’s doubles: Little and Robson lost to Robertson and Bartlo 7—9, Sutherland and Goro beat Johnston and Hagor 9—6. Ladies’ doubles: Misses W, and E. Robson beat Misses Gothard and Dalgleish 7—3, Mrs O. Jackson and Miss L. Gore beat Mrs Hannay and Miss Arrow, j 7—5. i Mixed doubles: Little and Miss W. Robson beat Robertson and Miss Gothard 9—4, Robson and Miss E. Robson beat j Bartle and Miss Dalgleish 9—7, Sutherland and Mrs O. Jackson lost to Johnston, and Mrs Hannay 5—9, Gore and Miss L, Gore lost to Hagor and iMss Arrow 4 —9. Personal. Mrs L. Robson, Robert’s line, is spend* ing a holiday at Plimmerton. Tho friends of Mr W. B. Duthie will be pleased to learn that he is well on the way to recovery, after his recent illness. Miss L. Greenhow Is at present staying in Christchurch, having made the trip to that centre by Union Airways 'plane. The annual meeting of the Methodist Ladies’ Guild will bo held on Tuesday afternoon.
