Bride and Her Maids Carry Garlands of Flowers

J All' Saints' Church* was decorated with a profusion of autumn blooms in pastel- tones and made a delightful setting JL or the. marriage of Hilda May, daughter of Mrs N. M.. Murdoch, and the late Mr A. J. Murdoch, of Palmerston North,, to Allan William, younger son of Mrs W. Walker and the late Mr E. Walker, of Peilding, which was celebrated last evening. Rev. P. 0. Ball was the officiating clergyman and Mr J, Holmes Kunnicles played the wedding music. The bride, tvho was given away by her uncle, Mr D. A. Murdoch, of Dunedin, wore «. lovely frock of deep magnolia satin,. cut on classic lines to form a long pointed train. The corsage had a cowl neck and long pointed sleeves finished with tiny buttons, and tho back was stitched in sun-ray effect to match the train. The exquisite lace veil, which had been worn- by the bride’s friend, Mrs W. Whitehouse, was in the same magnolia shade and was held to her head with a. coronet of orange blossom'.. She carried a garland of cream magnolias tied with gold cord. The bride was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss : Agnes Walker (chief), sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Jean Blackwood, of Palmerston North, They were dressed alike ia dainty frocks of floral ninon in paste! tones. The corsages had high necklines with cowl effect gauged on the shoulders’to form frilled sleeves. The pointed trains wero gauged on to the frocks to match the corsages. A pretty touch- was -achieved with i lettuce green velvet Tibbon at the waistlines with long ends falling to the trains. They word bandeaux of green. velvet and shoes fin the same shado, and carried garlands of -pink gladioli And carnations- tied with green velvet ribbon. Mr B. Walker, Hunterville, - supported his’ brother as best man, and Mr :C. Irving (Pahiatua) was the groomsman. 'The ushers at the church were Mr C.. Anderson and Mr D. S. Boyd. The reception following was held at Messrs Collinson and Cunninghame’s, where the lounge and : reception room were gay with gladioli and hydrangeas. Mrs Murdoch received the guests wearing a marocain ensemble in shades of brown .and parchment with a brown and-parchment straw hat. Her posy was -in autffmn tints with gold tissue ribbon. Mrs Walker, mother of the bridegroom, wore an ensemble of marocain, figured in black, lemon and white, and a black hat,, her posy being composed of lemon gladioli and bluo cornflowers -tied with blue velvet ribbon. mother of the (bridegroom, wore black georgette and lace and a black hat. Her. posy was ia lavender and French pink shades. Mrs ( J. Virtue, Timuru, sister of the bride, wore black georgette and a black hat. Miss M, Walker, sister of the bridegroom,-was in a ciel bluo satin evening ensemble, Miss B. Walker, another sister, wearing apple green georgette with a white velvet evening coat. The usual toasts wero honoured and congratulations offered. The guests were pleasantly entertained by Miss Val■ Corke, who contributed .vocal numbers.

'When the bride and bridegroom left later' by car, tho bride appeared for travelling in a marina blue frock, with a brown Breton sailor hat and accessories to match. She also carried a haxidsome brown fur coat.
